1.0 SOI Career Profiles

Most career counseling matches achievement and/or interest with career requirements. SOI matches learning potential with career requirements.

The SOI Test for Career Counseling (form CR) produces a profile of general learning abilities. This is an example profile.



The client's learning profile is then compared with a number of career profiles on the same dimensions. The result is an overlay of the client's profile on the career requirements. This is an example of the overlay.



Most careers of interest to the clients are those for which they are generally, but not completely qualified by SOI profile standards. In order to become more qualified –to optimize their chances of success– the clients need to strengthen their learning profiles. They do this by using SOI Training Modules which are designed to develop and strengthen specific abilities.

The SOI career program has been used successfully in secondary schools, juvenile justice, corrections, retraining programs, and career counseling centers.
